“When people ask me if I went to film school, I tell them, ‘No, I went to films.'”

Without movies, Hunter Goddard might not even be here – indeed, for their first date, his parents went together to see Gary Trousdale and Kirk Wise’s Beauty and the Beast (1991). Less than two years later, Hunter was born in Denver, where he now lives after graduating a year early from Colorado State University Fort Collins in May 2015 with a journalism major and film studies minor. Hunter has received honorable mention in the 2009 Writer’s Digest Annual Writing Competition, earned the 2014 Colorado Society of Professional Journalists Helen Verba Scholarship for Print Journalism for his work as an arts and entertainment reporter at The Rocky Mountain Collegian (one of six honorees in the four-state area), placed regionally in the national SPJ’s 2015 Mark of Excellence Awards as the features editor for College Avenue Magazine, finished in first place for the Print or Online Article category of the Eighty-Eighth Annual Writer’s Digest Writing Competition for this post (click here for his portfolio). He is also a MovieBabble staff writer. The most powerful inspiration behind Hunter’s writing is his passion for cinema, and he hopes you enjoy reading his work as much as he enjoys writing it for you.
